We advise you personally! Our Team has over 10 years of experience and knows the projects first hand. During an individual consultation our Team will put together your personal program according to your interests and the seasonal conditions in Costa Rica.
We offer you social-educational internships and places to work in the tourism sector throughout Costa Rica: Caribbean coast, Pacific and Highlands! In the social-educational oriented internships you work mainly with children, so that your places of work are kindergartens or primary schools. If you would like to do an internship in tourism, we can arrange a hotel or a travel agency for you. You can combine both areas, book volunteer projects and/or surf camps and discover the great variety of Costa Rica!
You are free to choose the starting date of your volunteer work in Costa Rica and you can also decide the duration yourself! (at least 8 weeks)
In Costa Rica, our english-speaking CAS team will pick you up at the airport and you will travel together to the CAS office or to the hostel, depending on the arrival time. In San Jose you will get a one-day introduction, take a city tour together and get SIM cards so that you are directly mobile. You will then sleep in San José for one or two nights before going to your language course or internship.
From San José you can take the public bus. You will receive a detailed plan with the departure places and times.
With ecological projects you live with other volunteers in a kind of camp directly in the project – these are simple houses with a dormitory, often bunk beds, mosquito nets… – there you get all three meals!
In the Caribbean we have ecological and social projects – there you stay in small, well-kept hostels. There are dormitories for up to 10 people, but also single and double rooms. You can cook with other volunteers in a communal kitchen!
For social projects in the so-called Valle Central, also called „Valley of Eternal Spring“, you live with a host family and get all meals!
Our englis-speaking support team is always there for you! By telephone and emergency mobile phone (24/7) we are available at any time and accompany you during your entire stay. In the projects you have local Spanish and English speaking contact persons.partner.
Our partner language schools are located in different parts of the country. Combine your volunteer work with a Spanish course at the beginning, so you have the best preparation for your tasks!
Basic knowledge of Spanish (recommended – not a must!) – you can communicate well with English and take a language course locally!
