WHO AND WHAT IS CAS?

We are THE specialists for Costa Rica!

How long has CAS existed?

CAS was founded in Costa Rica in 2005 by Anne Grubert and her Costa Rican husband, Sergio Chavarría. The two have lived together in Costa Rica for more than 10 years and have built up the organisation with a lot of personal commitment.

In San José we have a English-speaking team of six staff members.

We plan your stay from „A to Z“ and take you by the hand!

Comment from our founder:

„From the very beginning, it has been and still is very important for me to pass on my enthusiasm for Costa Rica, for the country and its people, to young people!“

 What is CAS?

We are a small organization with headquarters in Costa Rica – we do not have a partner agency, but plan and organize your stay directly and personally! We offer you volunteer work, internships, also in combination, as well as language trips with personal support right from the start!

CAS …where does the name come from?

Of course, the abbreviation CAS stands for Costa Rica Abroad Service.

But „Cas“ is also a fruit, namely a guava, which only occurs in Costa Rica! Cas tastes refreshingly sour and is often used to make juice or ice cream in Costa Rica.  That’s why we don’t say „C-A-S“, but „Cas“ and you’ll find an implied fruit with a leaf in our logo.
